“How long will Gulf states and their elites absorb the cost of a war they opposed while simultaneously funding the financial and computational architecture that makes that war possible?” Boom! That’s the trillion dollar question, isn’t it? Great piece of writing, Edward. It brings out yet another unintended and self-defeating consequence of Trump’s stupid and arrogant decision to go to war. Perhaps the chickens are finally coming home to roost?

thank you! i think it will somehow be something dumber and worse than chickens that come back home

I have read this post from you, and tried to get my head around it all. I am struggling I must confess, and relieved I live in NZ and we are not being bombed - but our country is going down the tubes as China dumps cheap peaches here and our own canning industry closes plants and orchards go out of business, and cheap peas and spinach etc come in so our own frozen food factories close down, and meat comes in from USA and other countries, and fish from China. and prices go up and up, and quality goes down and down. And homelessness increases and our government passes a law to give police permission to tell them to "move on" (though where to is a moot point) and fines of $2,000 can now be imposed on these homeless people for not moving on, and methamphetamine and cocaine are flooding in from the cartels funnelling through Fiji, narco state of South Pacific, Tonga and Samoa and Cook Islands next no doubt. Thanks for tying stuff together so I can try to make sense of what is happening with the the technobabble / technobabble.

Perhaps consider the ramifications of free trade deals… and who benefits most from them (hint - it’s not china - much closer to home)

thank you so much for this! I appreciate your work (just found a few weeks ago). as a bonus, I think your refs/cits/info will elucidate more patterns within the epstein files as I research and archive.

Holy cr*p! I feel like I’m in grammar school again with a bunch of nuns who’ve never left West Virginia. As if I’ve been focusing on trivia while missing so much of the bigger picture. Not to say my framework and all the pieces I’ve assembled aren’t of huge importance to me and other regular folks, but you’ve expanded my horizons so far it’s almost overwhelming. But I/We have no time for overwhelm or energy zap, nor apathy.

But I always value a more comprehensive perspective , especially your eye-opener, to better source, scan, and evaluate the hierarchy of articles I read and forward to friends. Thanks Edward!
